Mr. Burrows founded the On-Point Group and is its managing principal. He is a leading-edge thinker and sought-after consultant in the areas of supply chain management solutions, sales and operations strategy, demand management, inventory management and collaborative procurement.
At On-Point, Bob has led over 40 client engagements with many repeat engagements with the same parent company. For Goulds Pumps, Bausch & Lomb, Sherwin Williams, Anchor Foods and several other companies Bob has done significant assignments over many years for multiple divisions.
Mr. Burrows is a pioneer in Rate Based Planning having implemented RBP systems which focus on demand pull since the mid 1980's in his own division, his own company and for several major clients. Under his leadership, On-Point is recognized by the Advanced Manufacturing Research (AMR) firm as a qualified provider of Demand Management software designs and processes.
Bob spent 15 years as a strategic business unit head with Figgie International Corporation, in turn leading its Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Figgie's consumer products manufacturing division and Automatic Sprinkler Corporation of American, a fire-protection device manufacturer. Both divisions were under performing, a complete operational and financial turn-around was accomplished at each division.
Bob started his career in the operations management practice of Booz, Allen Inc.'s Cleveland office, consulting with dozens of Fortune 100 international manufacturing companies over a decade.
Bob served on the board of trustees of Covenant Theological Seminary for nine years while the institution became one of the top five Christian seminaries in the United States. Bob also served on the American Management Association's General Management Council for Growth Enterprises.
He holds a master's degree in business administration from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Iowa State University. He emphasized operations research at both institutions.
Dr. Charles Watts is Chief Science Officer for On-Point providing education, initiative and direction in the application of our analytical tools.
Dr. Watts has focused on supply chain network optimization and simulation as well as purchasing and materials management for over 25 years.
Dr. Watts is Professor of Operations Management in the Department of Management, Marketing and Logistics at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. His published research has appeared in Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations Management, Business Horizons. He has given seminars on Purchasing, Theory of Constraints, Total Quality Management and Supplier Development to major corporations including Lincoln Electric, Marathon Oil, Dana and Samsung.
He is currently a Vice-President for the Decision Science Institute and archivist for the Midwest Region of the Decision Science Institute. He was the 2004 program chair for Midwest Decision Sciences Institute and a past President. He was President of the Toledo APICS Chapter and served for several years on the national steering committee for the Small Manufacturing Specific Industry Group within APICS.
Dr. Watts holds a BSBA and an MBA from Bowling Green State University and a DBA from Indiana University
Valentin Marinov is On-Point's Chief Technical Officer responsible for all data handling, data security, internet security and statistical analysis for On-Point and its clients.
Val has 10 years experience in data security and large data base handling up to 10 giga-bytes. He is proficient in SQL, DB-2, NT and MS Access.
Val has a strong working knowledge of business statistical processes and advance Supply Chain network design, including Rate Based Management and Collaborative Planning elements gained in consulting assignments over the past eight years. He has worked directly with clients to design and install internet communications systems, supply chain systems processes and collaborative practices with suppliers. He also provides technical assistance and organized training courses for clients.
Valentine holds a Master of Science in Management from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from the American University in Bulgaria.
Rob is a principal with the On-Point Group focusing on network modeling, business performance measurement and supply chain education, including Rate Based Planning and demand-based manufacturing processes.
Rob has over 12 years of experience in supply chain with emphasis in shop floor management. He managed a high technology manufacturing company which converted from a long-lead-time job shop to a time-advantaged Rate Based flow shop under his leadership. Rob's plant produced a very highly complex product line to rates. The manufacturing process required over 25 divergent steps to complete one production order. Manufacturing lead time was reduced from weeks to just 3 days while through-put increase by 225%.
Rob has a strong breadth of experience which includes selling and implementing complex software technology for a middle market mid-western firm. He has led training programs and developed custom educational curriculum for client companies.
Rob holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Grove City University. He has served as youth director for several churches and founded and ran a street ministry for troubled youth from a store front in inner-city Akron. Rob is a gifted athlete who power lifts and participates in Iron Man competitions in Ohio.
Nick Pacitti is a principal with On-Point Group focusing on logistics improvement strategies and solutions.
Nick has over 25 years of extensive experience in logistics management. He brings a true practitioner's perspective in executing operations improvement and revenue enhancement initiatives. His focus is on distribution network design supported by balancing manufacturing, warehousing and transportation strategies and technologies in optimizing assets while improving service and cost performance
Nick's experience was gained through various senior management positions at Kraft and Nestle. He is also a management development instructor teaching mid and senior level managers throughout the world.
Nick holds a master's degree from Case Western Reserve in Operations Research, a master's degree from Kent State and a BS from LaSalle University.
